What is eduStream?

eduStream is the system used to give students access to recorded lectures and other learning materials on the Internet. It is based on iLectures software developed by the University of Western Australia.

eduStream was established in response to a significant and growing demand for the recording of lectures. It aims to enhance the student learning experience and to extend the ability of the University of Wollongong to offer rich learning experiences to students.

eduStream offers:

  • audio recordings of lectures
  • PowerPoint slides from lectures (most lectures)
  • visual images of other materials (some lectures).

eduStream was first used to deliver lectures to students on satellite campuses. For some students, eg the Nursing students at Bega, eduStream is already the primary way that they receive the learning materials provided in lectures. These students heavily depend upon eduStream as a critical resource, particularly during exam periods.
